Free Design Saturday

Free Design Saturday

On June 14, 2008, Historic Saint Paul and the Payne Phalen District 5 Planning Council hosted Free Design Saturday, an open house event for Payne Phalen residents. Home owners brought photographs of their houses and met with architects to discuss ideas for improving their homes. The architects were able to point out unique features of the homes, sketch recommendations for historically sensitive exterior improvements, and give professional advice on proceeding with such projects.

Due to the success of this event, Historic Saint Paul is planning future “free design” sessions in the Dayton’s Bluff and Frogtown neighborhoods. Our events page will be updated when the events have been scheduled.

You can also learn about financial and technical assistance available through the Restore Saint Paul program to help home owners restore their older homes in the Dayton’s Bluff, Payne Phalen, and Frogtown neighborhoods.
