The Katherine B. Andersen Fund of the Saint Paul Foundation has issued a challenge grant to help Historic Saint Paul build its base of operating support. The challenge grant will match all new and increased gifts to Historic Saint Paul (up to $20,000) in 2008. According to Historic Saint Paul’s Executive Director, Carol Carey, “this challenge grant will help build a base of support for our neighborhood revitalization, education, cultural heritage and advocacy efforts.”
Historic Saint Paul hopes that the challenge grant will inspire individuals who care about the preservation of Saint Paul’s historic neighborhoods to donate to the organization. Over the past two years, individual and corporate contributions to Historic Saint Paul have increased over 50 percent! Historic Saint Paul hopes to build on this momentum—and the excitement generated by the challenge grant—to raise over $65,000 this year.
The challenge grant coincides with preparations for Historic Saint Paul’s tenth anniversary celebration in May. The event will gather supporters (both longtime and new) to reflect on the past decade’s accomplishments and contemplate the future of Historic Saint Paul. The tenth anniversary milestone, coupled with the challenge grant, makes this an auspicious time to demonstrate your support with a donation to Historic Saint Paul.
