Preserve Frogtown completed a top-to-bottom renovation of this 2½-story brick Colonial Revival single-family house. In the heart of a vibrant and diverse neighborhood, the 1,600-sq.-ft.home’s period details include hardwood floors, natural woodwork, original windows, built-in buffet, and flat arch room dividers. It has four bedrooms, 1½ baths, first-floor laundry, large unfinished attic, and two-car garage.

When Preserve Frogtown purchased the house its masonry front porch was failing and needed to be removed or rebuilt. Preserve Frogtown worked with the Guadelupe Alternative Program's YouthBuild team (a construction training program) and EZ Masonry to disassemble the porch, clean all of the original bricks, and reassemble it in its original design recreated by Bob Roscoe of Design for Preservation.

Financing for this project was provided by Land Bank Twin Cities and Minnesota Finance Agency.
